Protected and Enhanced Aluminium Optical Mirrors

Protected aluminum mirrors are an deal choice for application in the visiable and near infrared. It has good reflectivity with Ravg>90% from 400nm – 2000nm. Silicon Monoxide is typically used as an overcoat to protect delicate aluminum mirror coating. This treatment provides an abrasion-resistant surface while maintaining the perfomance of aluminum mirror. For 200-250nm wavelength it is recommended to use MgF2 protective layer. It gives higher reflection values in UV spectrum.

Protected Silver Optical Mirrors

Silver coating offer high reflectance in visible-NIR and IR spectrum. It has the highest reflectance in the visible-NIR spectrum of any metallic mirro. China Star Optics offer silver coating mirrors with durable overcoat protecting them from oxidation while still high humidity environments should be avoided.

Protected Gold Optical Mirrors

Gold mirrors are effective for applications requiring high reflectance requiring high refelctance in the NIR and IR reflections. It has good reflectivity with Ravg >96% 700 nm to 10 μm.

Dielectric Mirrors

Dielectric Mirrors can be used for laser or ultra-high reflectance applications. This mirror can be designed for maximum reflection at one specific wavelength or range of wavelengths. Dielectric mirrors typically feature very low loss, >99% reflection at most common laser wavelength and can withstand moderate to high laser powers.
